It could be possible using irrlicht's existing gles port but the further we diverge, the harder this (and Android) ports will be.

I'm afraid doing that is impossible. You can't really emulate a complex
api on restricted hw, only the other way would work.

So getting STK on a Pi would require a GLES port.
