Keep up the good work. I meant to shut it down a while ago because of the spam, but I couldn't remember the list password (or maybe I never knew it) and I sort of forgot about it because GMail has been catching most of the spam that's sent there. -- Ryan |

Hi, this is Bill Kendrick, original developer of SuperTux. The supertux-devel list on sourceforge.net is still around, and I still get mailman admin messages from it (mostly spambots attempting to post). Shall I shut down that list, or can someone take over? Sorry I've not been involved in the project for a long time. Tux Paint's my new baby (well, my 2 year old baby is my _new_ baby), and it keeps me plenty busy. Keep up the good work. Thanks, -- -bill! Here are my questions: 1- Using the level editor, i created some cool levels, but how can i send them to you?; 2- I cleared all story levels and all levels in Bonus Island I, including the castle and long way home. But you said there was a secret level. Where? Where is that secret level? 3- Can i open images that are in my computer to supertux to make the backgrounds in level editor? If yes, how? If no, how can you change backgrounds? 4- There is a level that has touchable clouds. How can i make that in level editor? 5- Will you create another game of Super tux? If yes, when it will be ready, can i download without ~paying? Please, answer me soon! Thanks! _________________________________________________________________ MSN Messenger: converse com os seus amigos online. http://messenger.msn.com.br |

If you don't want to go about compiling it, you can grab some player made levels from one of the fan sites: (http://www.supertux.info/plmdlvls.html) Or you could try to make some of your own levels, but it's a little bit difficult to make fun-to-play yet challenging levels for yourself (since you know where all the secrets are, and such) Anyway, hope that helps... -\n -- "5 years from now everyone will be running free GNU on their 200 MIPS, 64M SPARCstation-5." -- Andrew Tanenbaum, on comp.os.minix, in 1992. |

Since boos.jam is supposed to be mostly backwards compatible, try editing the .jam files in mk/jam (/trunk/supertux/mk/jam/jamcompatibility.jam has that error you can try removing.) I haven't tried and am in no possition to try that. You'd be better probably just getting the standard version of jam like someone else said. (Unless you feel like messing with that.) Because you're trying to use Boost.Jam instead of jam. This is Boost.Jam that you are trying to use: http://www.boost.org/tools/build/jam_src/index.html While this is the make replacement that supertux uses: http://www.perforce.com/jam/jam.html Download and install jam and use that instead, it should work all right. There is a GBA emulator for the gp2x, so maybe it would run well on that (I should check this...) if not, the sdl libraries and gcc are there, so I will start copying over the source code and trying to compile the old version (before you switched to jam) and see how that works. -- Thanks, -\n |

Is there any interest in a supertux GP2X port? I think it would be easier to port the earlier (<0.10) ones, the SDL libraries are there, all we need to do is recompile the code. (something, I am sad to admit, I have never done before. (at least not for this processor.)) -- -\n |

Viel Spaß und viele Grüße Patric The following message was sent by "Anne" <ann...@gm...> on Fri, 4 Nov 2005 19:14:21 +0100.
