Welcome to SunXACML version 2.0
---

Sun's XACML Implementation is an open-source project, originally started
at Sun Microsystems, to provide complete support for the XACML
standard. This distribution supports the 1.x and 2.0 specifications, and
includes many examples and sample classes to get you started both with
the XACML language and this project.

The root directory contains a single ant file used to build and run all
of the files associated with this project. To compile the complete code
base you can use the default target. There are also specific targets to
build each of the specific components (e.g., "build-core-production")
and to build debug versions of the code (e.g., "build-core-debug").

The SunXACML project is organized into the following directories:

sunxacml/ contains the core code base for parsing and processing
XACML structures and for use in building XACML components
             like a PDP or PEP

support/ contains utility code to help in building full XACML
components by providing functionality beyond that required
             by the core XACML specifications

tests/ contains a very simple test suite that is capable of
running all of the standard conformance tests

example/ contains some example XACML policies, XACML requests, and
source files to help you learn both the XACML language and
the APIs provided by the SunXACML project

doc/ contains introductory guides to the project, configuration,
             and associated schema files

For more detail on any of these components, please see the README or
other docs in each sub-directory. For information about this project or
the XACML standard, go to:

Here you'll find all the latest news about this project, online copies
of the programmer's guide and JavaDocs, links to the SVN tree, and
details about how you can get involved as a developer on this
project. You'll also find links to our sourceforge-managed mailing
lists, which include general discussion and announcement lists.

We hope you enjoy this project. Please feel free to get in touch with
comments, questions, complaints, or suggestions for future directions.
