Thank you for your reply Amie, Where are you finding "helpers.ApplicationSettings"? It seems like java code to me but all I can find is the jar file for TrafficModeller with no source code (unless I don't understand how to use a jar file), and I'm unable to find that string in the windows registry. I've also been unable to run the file as administrator in windows but will try in linux shortly. Along a different path (should I never get TrafficModeller working), I'm wondering if there's a way to create a default traffic value in an O/D matrix. I'd like to define a few high value areas but have the other 100 or so residential streets have some low, default probability of being a source or a sink. Thanks again, Victoir ---- From: Amie Lukas [ami...@go...] Unfortunately, I did neither find a way to search the mail archive nor do I know how to properly answer already sent mails - so this is a try. I experienced the same problem. It turned out that "traffic modeller" tries to store configurations values in the windows registry - which caused a SecurityException on my machine. Maybe running the programm as Admin is a fix. go to "helpers.ApplicationSettings" and replace the methods "public static String getDUARouterPath()" and "public static String getNetConvertPath()" with your implementation. For personal use, I did a quick fix with a fixed path. I know, it's not nice, but to check the programmes capabilities, it should be fine. I think the "hot spot" feature is quite usefull: You can graphically define areas in which vehicles shall be 'incoming' or 'outgoing', define the time and duarouter does the rest. However, I had no time yet to try intensively. Generally speaking, the tool is in a shape were it is quite good to run it from an IDE to see all the error messages it normally would hide from you. Regards, Amie ---- Thank you for your quick response. Netconvert generates the files >perfectly with the command you've given me, however I have yet to be >able to import any of them into TrafficModeler. I've tried this in both >Windows and Linux, with the public jar file as well as the svn jar file, >with both large and small networks, and with manually made as well as >automatically made edg, rou, and net files, and in all cases I receive >the error "An error occured when creating the project", followed by a >blank error screen. It's hard to imagine I'm the only one with the >problem, but I've found nothing in the online support. Is >anybody/everybody else having this problem? |
