Here's the information you requested:

    $ rpm -q glibc    
    glibc-2.3.2-95.33
    glibc-2.3.2-95.33

    $ ls -l /lib/libc.so.6
    lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           13 Jul 25 18:37 
/lib/libc.so.6 -> libc-2.3.2.so*

    $ nm -D /lib/libc.so.6 | grep newlocale
    000211b0 W newlocale
    000211b0 T __newlocale
    $
