I just received a dvd from Marco Vitolini, who has worked on a
show for the new Zeiss/Jenoptik laser projection system in the planetarium
of Jena, Germany. Some time ago, he asked for permission to use the
Stellarium constellation images in this show about Galileo.
It's been on the news in Germany, and Stellarium should be mentioned in the
credits somewhere in the planetarium. They spent 1 million euro on
the planetarium, and there's only one other like it in the world, in
Beijing. The six laser projectors (Jenoptik) and the projection
software (Zeiss) have been in development for 7 years, and
apparently a one hour show is 10 terabytes large (I wonder if the
journalist made an error there...)
Attached you'll find some pictures I took from the dvd with a
digicam, so the quality is bad.
