Hi Fabien I just discovered a rather odd effect (maybe a bug) with stellarium. I erased the the star catalogues 0,1,2,3 from the default folder to carry out a test. I then ran stellarium and it only loaded the catalogues 4 thru 8 (from the stars folder in the user area). After observing the results I copied the the erased catalogues back into stellarium. and ran stellarium. There was no display of catalogues 0 thru 3. I checked the log.txt and it advised that there was a checksum error and they would not be loaded. However a recheck of the default star folder revealed that these catalogues had been erased. I next ran a separate build of stellarium that was previously OK . It also failed to display the stars and also erased the catalogues. I then made a new installation of a different build. It did exactly the same (I was running out of places to get the star catalogues). The solution was to erase the starsconfig.json from the user area and let stellarium create a new one. It had to do all the checksums again so took a while to load. However this fixed the problem.
