Note that displaying -1 instead of 1BC seems to be the french convention for BC dates...

It is more "history compliant" but I am now thinking of displaying year -1 instead of 1 BC, i.e. just jumping the year zero. This would avoids translation problems...

I managed to get it to work that way but only if I use number keys on
the main part of the keyboard (the numeric pad keys do not work).

I also got that date wraparound problem - put 9999 on the year and it
goes back to 4xxx BC.
