Hi Fab

I tried everything I could think of but Qt creator will not compile Stellarium in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

However the procedure is to download http://www.microsoft.com/windows/vir.../download.aspx from Microsoft. Follow the instructions to create an XP virtual machine. Run XP as a virtual machine and install QT, Cmake2.8, and the other dependancies listed in the windows Qt creator build including the inno compiller. Then build in the virtual machine. It worked for me from scratch without a hitch.

When built don't try to run it in the virtual machine with the default_config.ini. The virtual machine does not like Stellarium in full screen mode but it will run if you make the screen size less than the virtual screen window but quite slow unless the virtual machine has been set up for opengl.

Use the inno compiler to make a package then copy the package to your normal Windows 7 area. Close the virtual screen and install the stellarium package. Don't forget to place it in the Program files (x86) folder not the program files (default) folder.
