Something that works everywhere not just in selected platforms or programs
Of course there is no universal version at the moment. It is just a term to describe what is necessary

I agree with Bogdan

There are too many little bugs for an acceptable release
1. night vision crashes for me
2. Closing windows after a zoom to a texture results in the Windows error on closing stellarium. This doesn't happen if no activity has been executed instellarium
3. The sqlite problem. I have read a few of the many posts on difficulties of getting the sqlite drivers to be recognised on any other platform other than the original development. I think it should be steered clear of till it has a stable universal version.

What is a universal version?  I've never heard of such a thing.
