Because  I only build mingw I actually copied the QT supplied version to my main folder but had to add zlib 2.7 and a couple of other headers and dll.a's. I forget what they were but they were asked for when building so I just located them and put copies where they were needed. I have not tried the MSVC version.

I have no trouble building the current version in mingw and it runs OK but the log file refers to lots of missing stuff

Also stellarium takes about a minute to load now because I have all star catalogues and a checksum is done every time I have a new load.
