    I pushed a possible implementation of this issue related with the satellite orbit paths in my branch. http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~jlcanales-gasco/stellarium/satellite-plugin

    In the satellite.cpp file, (Satellite::drawOrbit function) I replaced the original implementation based on StelPainter::drawFromArray for a loop that draw each segment with StelPainter::drawLine2d changing the segment brightness.
   I'm not sure if this is the most efficient way to implement the functionality but it show how the pretty orbit lines would appear in stellarium.
