I am curious as to how hard it would be to try to integrate gpredict into
stellarium by some sort of plugin. Or, at the very least, have the same
satellites available to view in real-time in stellarium as gpredict has. It
would make finding such satellites with very limited equipment a little
    easier.

Umm, Stellarium already has a satellite tracking plug-in. (Very originally
    called Satellites. :))

Depends on what you mean "integrate" and on what features exactly do you want
it to have. I suspect that the general answer would be "hard".

Or, at the very least, have the same satellites available to view in real-
time in stellarium as gpredict has.

In theory, one could write a simple plug-in that reads GPredict's
configuration file, sees the satellites currently displayed in GPredict and
them adds them or highlights them somehow in Stellarium's Satellites plug-in.

(In case some of our compulsive feature-adders reads this, GPredict keeps its
currently monitored satellites in the .mod files in
~/.config/Gpredict/modules/. The "SATELLITES" key should include a list of
    NORAD numbers.)

Thanks daggerstab. I thought I knew stellarium pretty well, but apparently
not. I should have looked into this further before asking, because the plugin
does exactly what I wanted it to, and it works perfectly. Thanks again mang
    :).
