So I was just on the mac app store and was thinking of getting Stellarium from there, and discovered that was 20$. I'm not sure if this is by the same people, who have it on their website for free, or by someone else. Here's a link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stellarium-interactive-star/id693454772?mt=12

it's not from the people here, that is a leecher (and copyright violator, since it didn't even change the name) trying to profit from FLOSS software.
I recommend you to download Stellarium (or any other open source software) from the original project website.

It is on App Store by the name of "Star Chart" in the Education category. Not found when searching "astronomy". It uses the same icon as Stellarium and the screen shots look identical.
App Store has no apparent mechanism to report this.
The same product window links to a support site here: http://sh.qiyexinyong.org/corp-310104000414113.html which is all in Chinese so I can't even sure if it's their actual site.
Product window shows "Seller: Global Executive Consultants (Shanghai) Ltd".

    -Stellarium user.

Has anyone from Stellarium reported this yet? That really needs to be taken down. What a scumbag!

The fake stellarium is still on the app store. The only reviewer for it states that it is actually Celestia, but it's using the Stellarium name and its icon.
