    Hi,

I just updated my Mac OSX to 10.9 and am having a minor issue with Stellarium 12.4. When I launch it I see a screen full of little squares for a couple of seconds before Stellarium actually populates the screen. I wonder if it has to do with my updated OSX. I want to try an earlier edition of Stellarium and don't know where to look for it. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a mac but I often get patterns like that when I first start Stellarium and a few other programs. As far as I know I think it is a readout of the random data in the video memory before the main program starts.

As long as the program takes over promptly I would not worry about it.

You can get earlier versions of Stellarium from the Stellarium site at sourceforge

That is due to the OpenGL buffer being displayed before it is created, causing the random bytes in the buffers to display. Where as it is possible to correct that, it's simply not a big deal.
