Is Stellarium going to use data from Asteroids@home to calculate the brightness of asteroids?

asteroidsathome.net is not part of Stellarium and has no place in it

Stellarium can display any solar system object. It is programmed to read a file called ssystem.ini. For your own use you can add any items that you can obtain the orbital parameters of.

The Earth low orbit satellites are available and the best are included in the satellites plugin. These are automatically updated regularly but you can add any you like if you have the necessary TLE data to enter in the satellites.json file.

The rest that includes comets, planets, planet moons and asteroids are displayed by entering their orbit parameters in the ssystem.ini file. There are thousands of these objects and only the most important have their orbit parameters included in the release versions of stellarium. However you can add any you like by making an entry in the ssystem.ini file with the orbital parameters obtained from any source.

To make additions to the ssystem.ini file we have developed a plugin "solarsystemeditor" that you can use to add items.
