Release 1.0.1.0 is out

[Starbuck's FreePlayer 1.0][1] is out for Windows and Mac OS X.

What's new in 1.0.1.0 release:

  • DVD menus with navigation and audio/subtitle control
  • support for non-western subtitles: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic, Hebrew
  • user settings for subtitle font style (font color, font size, bold, shadow, bottom margin)
  • deinterlacing video (switchable on-the-fly option)
  • option to turn on DVD/VOBsub antialiasing (-spuaa 4 -spugauss 0.5)
  • menu to associate audio/video/playlist file extensions to FreePlayer (every extension can be selected/unseleted and be restored to previous application associated with)

FreePlayer 1.0 for Mac OS X is released (1.0.1.0)

FreePlayer sources compile successfully with Qt Creator 2.6.1 and Qt 4.8.4 libraries. This very first public release for Mac OS X is fully functional, except video web browser, and has passed testing showing strong stability.

FreePlayer 1.0 for Windows is released (1.0.0.0)

FreePlayer sources compile successfully with Visual Studio 2010 Professional and Qt 4.8.4 libraries. This very first public release for Windows is fully functional and has passed testing showing strong stability.
