resequencing and comparative sequencing becomes more
and more popular. For this purpose, usually sequences
from different templates (clones, individuals,
patients) are aligned into one contig. Would it be
possible to extract and save contig sequences for all
or selected templates (according to the naming scheme)
without previous disassembly to different contigs?
Conflicts in overlapping regions should produce a "N"
or an other IUB code base in the consensus.
Furthermore, it would be very useful to dump the
protein sequences for selected templates when the
sequences are compared to an annotated EMBL sequence.
