I am trying to install staden-1-6-0 on my new laptop which is running Mac OS X 10.4. I have XDarwin installed to run ARB and have followed the advice elsewhere for updating the .bashrc file and when I go into the terminal I get the following...
escriba:~ me$ pregap4
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.6.dylib
Referenced from: /Applications/staden-macosx-1-6-0/macosx-bin/stash
Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
/usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.6.dylib: mach-o, but wrong architecture
Any thoughts on what's going on? Is there a difference between XDarwin and X11?
It seems as if the X11 stuff is called. I don't know how to fix that, but I'm running 1.6.0 (precompiled for the PPC platform) without any problems on my macbook with X11. Maybe it's easier just to stick to X11? At least, it works with Rosetta.
PS: Anyone who's managed to compile 1.7.0 for the Mac Intel platform? I've failed severly...
