I've tested the root failover with the OpenSSI for SUSE Build from Nov. =
30 (these are my current binary packages). The installation (from =
scratch) works without any problems. My set up contains 4 nodes, all =
defined for root failover. As i've powered down the first (master) node, =
the second one has tryed get the master, while the fourth one has hung =
it up. After a few seconds the 2nd node gives up with "not syncing" =
comment and 3rd node tryes to get over the master from the 2nd. After a =
few more seconds it says "not syncing", too. Well, root failover has =
failed at all. :-(
Now i have a couple of questions:
1. Is there a newer build than the mine of Nov. 30 available on CVS for =
2. Should only one second node be configured with root failover?
3. Does root failover work on your configuration?
4. How can i help you to fix these problems?
