Hi Ivan, this is what is in my modprobe.conf: alias eth0 e1000 alias eth1 e1000 alias scsi_hostadapter mptbase alias scsi_hostadapter1 mptscsih alias usb-controller ehci-hcd alias usb-controller1 uhci-hcd I do have these cards. This is what is in my /boot directory: initrd-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_ssi_9smp.img initrd-2.6.5-1.358.img initrd-2.6.5-1.358smp.img so I only need to do a: mkinitrd -cfs initrd-2.4.22-1.2199.nptl_ssi_9smp.img 2.4.22-1.2199 ?? and then the machine should boot ? Do so, rebuild the initrd, and you should be all set. -IK ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
