Hi, + I am looking for some information about IPC in OpenSSI. I am interested + in how the IPC objects/mechanisms are realized in this distributed + environment. Is it efficient? Basically, the IPC objects actually exist and are maintained on the node on which they were first "created" (let us call this server-node). Access to this IPC object from all other nodes (let us call these client-nodes) are directed transparently to the server-node from within the kernel. No IPC objects are actually "created" on the client-nodes. I am unable to comment on other aspects related to "efficiency" at this time. Maybe others can. + Is there any difference between the IPC programming interface in OpenSSi + and standard Linux? No. There is no difference between the IPC programming interface in OpenSSI as compared to standard Linux. - Kishore |
