Actually, it might be a good idea to modify /etc/inittab and /etc/fstab with SSI-specific changes. We should make sure that our version of init, mount, swapon, fsck, etc. can work on the base or an SSI cluster. When running on the base, they should ignore anything SSI-specific in their configuration files. This strategy would follow the principle of least surprise for the novice user, apart from some unusual changes to the config files. -Brian |
