Aneesh, I assume this is already working?? (I don't have a SSI setup.) If so, there must be a script file somewhere on the shared root that looks = something like: host=3D`hostname -s` mount --bind /$(host)-root/etc/config-file-1 /etc/config-file-1 mount --bind /$(host)-root/etc/config-file-2 /etc/config-file-2 mount --bind /$(host)-root/etc/config-file-3 /etc/config-file-3 mount --bind /$(host)-root/etc/config-file-4 /etc/config-file-4 ... I did some simple testing on a single node Linux machine and while the above = concept works, it seems a bit messy. First the first line of the above is a chicken and the egg situation. Normally = the hostname is set by a config file, which itself needs to be a CDSL type of = thing. I assume that there is a SSI unique command that is instead used to identify = the node without resorting to the hostname. More importantly, when I do a df or a mount, I get info about each of the = above. It would seem that there needs to be a way to eliminate this excess = output somehow. Has that already been taken care of? or do you get a bunch of extraneous output = form df and mount. FYI: On a Tru64 machine I administer there are 141 CDSL links. Having 141 extra = entries every time a df or mount command is entered seems excessive. //=20 // If you have access to a Tru64 V5.x machine the command to get the list is: // find / -type l -ls | grep '{memb}' | awk '{ print $11, $12, $13 }' > = /tmp/cdsl.list // Greg Freemyer Internet Engineer Deployment and Integration Specialist The Norcross Group www.NorcrossGroup.com >> Hi,=20 >> let say you want a host specific /etc directory.
