Turns out if you try to use the boot parameters "nosmp", or "maxcpus=0", which should turn off SMP in a kernel, the OpenSSI kernel for FC3 does not boot. It gets stuck after displaying the KDB hooks, and the line: audit(xxxxxx): initialized You can boot with "maxcpus=1" however. So SMP support in the OpenSSI kernels is required, even if you only use 1 CPU/Core? P.S. This also happens on the SuSE version of OpenSSI. Jurgen |
