OPENSSI-FC is the branch name for the Fedora Core version.
OPENSSI-FC-1-9-2 should be the tag name for the 1.9.2 release for Fedora
Core. OPENSSI-DEBIAN is the branch name for the Debian version.

What's on the trunk/head is just code that is common between Fedora,
Debian, SuSE, etc., such as the kernel code and openssi-tools.

There is the beginning of a CVS administration guide that explains some
of this stuff:

If you take a diff between the MERGE-DB-FC tag and the top of the
OPENSSI-FC branch, you find all the changes that might need to be
adapted to the Debian branch.

Similarly, a diff between the MERGE-FC-DB tag and the top of the
OPENSSI-DEBIAN branch shows any changes that might need to be adapted
back to the Fedora Core branch.

The usual: CVS, gcc, make, diff, patch, vim/emacs, kdb, etc.

See openssi/docs/debian/devel/INSTALL.cvs in the repository for how to
build Debian packages.

Hope this helps,
