Hi All, I have a 1.4.8 squirrelmail installation on CentOS 5.5 Which works as a charm. I have the following plugins up and running: server_side_filters-2.0beta1-1.4.0 server_side_filters_maildrop-1.0beta1-1.4.0 server_settings_backend-2.0-1.4.0 in the next step, I would also like my users to be able to edit their .forward files. the most suitable plugin for that seems to be local_autorespond_forward-3.0.1-1.4.0 But, this doesn't really work for me as my users don't have a real local account. They do have their own local files on the filesystem, but their uid is in LDAP in stead of passwd (or pam). For ssf this works as the server_settings_backend suid binary is able to authenticate via imap. So, what I'd like is to be able to use the ssb suid binary with local_autorespond_forward. The file config_example_file_using_suid.php in server_settings-2.0-1.4.0 has the following text on this: A better solution would be to use the "Local User Autoresponder and Mail Forwarder" plugin (which also uses the Server Settings Backend plugin as its backend). I've been trying the dumb way to adjust laf suid commands to point to the ssb suid. This kind of works. laf is able to write the .forward. But it goes wrong with the list command. So here are my questions: 1. can anybody tell me how to rewrite a laf suid list command to a ssb suid stat (or lstat?) command or 2. is there a svn for laf (I couldn't find one) which already does what I want? thanks for your thoughts. Jacco PS. I'm willing to beta test |

I still have Local User Autoresponder torn apart where I was planning to do this integration. > So here are my questions: > 1. can anybody tell me how to rewrite a laf suid list command to a ssb > suid stat (or lstat?) command Off the top of my head, I think options.php has a function called something like do_action() that handles all connections to the server. I just needs to be replaced. If you want a fast hacked up version with no documentation and hardly any configuration file support, I might be able to send you something. Also note that the Server Side Settings Backend plugin has LDAP support now (in beta testing). That means if the example configuration settings for editing .forward files in the Server Settings plugin are sufficient for you, you can bypass Local User Autoresponder altogether (and also you don't necessarily need to use IMAP authentication for Server Side Filters, although it looks like that works well for you). The main difference between using Local User Autoresponder and Server Settings is the extra features that Local User Autoresponder adds on, but most of those features are related to the autoresponder and not so much if you just use the forwarding portion of the plugin. Make sense? Let me know if you want a test copy of the LDAP-enabled Server Settings Backend. If you need Local User Autoresponder, can you explain what feature it has that makes you need it?
