You can find the unpolished work on
It consists of a modified function in the functions/mime.php and two files
that must fo under src
that take a message, rewrite it without an attachment and then use an
IMAP_APPEND to replace it in the message base.
Hope that you'll be able to distill something from my code... it was written
in a very, very early stage of my knowledge of squirrel.

I for one would be very interested! This would be fantastic, just what I
need - even the unfinished code would be great.

i'm sure interested in some kind of plugin. this gives the users some mor=
options to handle their mails. would be great.

This was quite a while ago - has there been any progress with this? I
searched the plugins and don't see anything. Attachment Handlers sounded
promising but didn'thave this remove attachment feature.
