SquirrelMail fortune plugin depends on program execution functions and needs access to /usr/bin/fortune binary. Disable plugin in your SquirrelMail configuration or allow access to /usr/bin/ directory in your PHP open_basedir restrictions. You can set different open_basedir restrictions just for webmail. -- Tomas -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Bug-Report-tp27902355p27902431.html Sent from the squirrelmail-plugins mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

SquirrelMail is not your service provider. See: http://squirrelmail.org/support/enduser.php When you contact your provider, you might want to advise them to disable the Bug Report plugin for users and to upgrade their software, as they are running a fairly old version of SquirrelMail that has some published security issues. > I can reproduce the bug by: attempting to send nother email. > -- Paul Lesniewski SquirrelMail Team Please support Open Source Software by donating to SquirrelMail! http://squirrelmail.org/donate_paul_lesniewski.php |

Please see: http://squirrelmail.org/wiki/UnsafeImages If you are not the administrator of your system, please direct your inquiries to whoever is. When you do, please tell your administrator to reconfigure or turn off the Bug Report plugin and that they need to upgrade their webmail software, since they are running a version that is years old with several published security holes. -- Paul Lesniewski SquirrelMail Team Please support Open Source Software by donating to SquirrelMail! http://squirrelmail.org/donate_paul_lesniewski.php |

I am subscribed to the mailing list. When a RECENT mail arrives the number should increase by 1. It does not. I can reproduce the bug by: 1.) Enable New Mail plugin. 2.) Set 4 options in New Mail and Folder Preferences as described above under "This bug occurs when:" 3.) Select a folder other than the Inbox. (I'm pretty sure if the inbox is in focus the new mail will not be determined to be RECENT. I checked this by monitoring /var/spool/mail/vhosts/example.com/username/new/. When The inbox is viewed the message gets transfered to /var/spool/mail/vhosts/example.com/username/cur/. Directory cur is the inbox, I'm guessing new is untouched) 4.) Send yourself an email from Squirrelmail or another client. Just don't go back to your inbox. Instead wait for a refresh or click [Check Mail] in the upeer left pane. 0 New Messages should remain unchanged. 5.) I am replying to my own post. I need some advice. I probably posted this bug report in the wrong place. Should I post it to sourceforge.net squirrelmail bugs Or file it elsewhere? I think it is a valid bug and fix. I'm just lame with the logistics, sorry.
