If you want to have Punjabi language in SquirrelMail translation options, add
$languages['pa_IN']['NAME'] = 'Punjabi';
$languages['pa_IN']['CHARSET'] = 'utf-8';
$languages['pa_IN']['LOCALE'] = 'pa_IN.UTF-8';
$languages['pa']['ALIAS'] = 'pa_IN';
to SquirrelMail functions/i18n.php file, next to other $languages entries.
If you use other charset, modify CHARSET and LOCALE keys.
You can submit translated squirrelmail.po files to this list.
SquirrelMail contains about 1100-1300 translatable strings. If you work in
team, you might split translation into several parts, but you will have to
combine translated files before submitting them or using them in
