why is Ukrainian translation deactivated?
What can be done to enable it? I mean in the distribution - locally I
have uncommented appropriate code in functions/i18n.php and it
works perfectly. Why is it commented out?

first Ukrainian translation was submitted by Oleg Baranovsky <oleg at
uazone.net>. One day we reviewed the translation and it looked like
written in Russian. Our developers don't know Ukrainian, but some
understand Russian. After checking Ukrainian terms in

translation is not Ukrainian and disabled it in stable SquirrelMail
second translation was submitted by Khohlov Sergii <sergkh at
westlucky.net>. It was better, but translation did not pass 50% translated

third translation was submitted by Serhij Dubyk <dubyk at
library.lviv.ua>. It was submitted after SquirrelMail 1.4.6 release.
Translation is included in latest 1.4.6 locales package.
SquirrelMail 1.4.x branch has hardcoded list of supported translations.

is submitted after stable SquirrelMail release, we enable it in current
1.4.x branch code. We don't want to release another SquirrelMail version
just in order to enable translation and wait for regular 1.4.x release.
SquirrelMail 1.4.7cvs supports Ukrainian translation. Ukrainian
translation should be enabled in 1.4.7 and later SquirrelMail versions.
Released 1.4.6 translation packages contain patch and modified version of
