Feature requests, and possible bugs (maybe in browsers):
1) Feature Request: When hitting "reply" for messages, can the default
cursor selection be the body of the text where the message would be typed
instead of the "To:" line?
My users claim this is not the way that SM worked in 1.2.x, but I do not
recall what it did in 1.2.x.)
I expect this would require a change to the core, but am not certain. If a
plugin couldbe created for this, what SM hook would be best to use?
2) Feature Request: When you have pages of messages (assume 10 messages
shown per page) and then you jump to a page other than the first page of
messages (such as display messages 31-40) and then you look at a message
in this range (31-40) and then reply to the message, and you have chosen
then you finish replying to a message, you are returned back to the first
page (showing messages 1-10) of messages instead of being returned to the
page you were examining (showing range 31-40) when you seected a messages
and then replied to it.
Of course when you compose in a new window, this is not an issue.
3) Possible Bug (likely in OS/Browser): user reports using "view printable
version" option/link from a message while in Mac OS X. If they select the
new page's "print" button, the e-mail is printed. However, if they press
command-P (Mac OS Internal for Print) only the first page of the message
is printed. (I'm really just looking for others who might have found this
as a problem and found a method to fix it, or at least see if others using
Mac OS X have experienced this.)
4) Possible Bug (maybe browser, or could be SM): When using the "View
Printable Version" page for a message, if the message included a long list
of recpients in the To: line and the Cc: line, there are some cases where
the long list of addresses is truncated, only showing the last few
addresses on one line.
5) Possible Bug (likely in SM) A message sent in HTML is displayed in SM,
but the content that is displayed sometimes has text not found in the
original body of the message (extra words and symbols like !Persons Name
Here) and in some cases seems to show no content. Ther may be a bug in how
HTML mail is converted to text for display.
When the default "view messages as" is changed from TEXT to HTML, there
are no problems with extra content or missing content.
I think I can provide sample messages as attachments for all those who
would want to see examples.
Suggestions, responses or feedback welcome for any of these above.
