Isn't PHP working on having persistant IMAP connections? I would think that the code for PHP could be modified to have pconnect("host" [, timeout [, persistant_ID]]); So that you can multiple connections to the same server, each with their own separate persistant_ID. We would have to do something special to make unique persistant_ids ... perhaps ($username . time()) or maybe just $username for the id. :-) |
