<html><body><div>I recently reinstalled my Postfix/Courier/Squirrelmail installation. As part of Squirrelmail, I had the change_sqlpass plugin installed. As part of the reinstall, I changed the way passwords were stored in the database. They used to be stored in clear text. Now, I use the MySQL Encrypt function to store passwords.</div> <div> </div> <div>Therefore, I changed the encryption type in my config.php file to MYSQLENCRYPT. However, whenever I try to change the password, I always get an error message stating the old password didn't match. So I turned on the debug function and I can see the queries that are being sent to the database.</div> <div> </div> <div>All of the other encryption type settings result in a query with an encrypted password. The MYSQLENCRYPT setting though results in a query with "AND password = encrypt('password')". The password is not actually encypted and therefore it appears the query fails and always returns zero.</div> <div> </div> <div>I have searched throught the mailing list and didn't see a similar post as this. I am using SM 1.4.10 and the compatibility plugin is installed.</div> <div><BR>Thanks.</div></body></html> |
