It's not an upgrade, so much as a fresh install on a new box. I installed SquirrelMail through yum on CentOS, and this is the version I got. The thread you pointed me to seems to indicate that the person in question was having the same problem, but there isn't any resolution in the thread. It seems to me that the double-urlencoding is likely the culprit, but I don't understand where that can be happening. Has anyone else gotten a resolution to this sort of problem? You might first try getting our newest version. The solution you pose is a bandage on the real problem, which looks to be the mailbox being encoded twice.
