I believe the version in SquirrelMail 1.5.1 and higher (development releases) support DB storage. In fact, the one in 1.5.1 and higher uses the same functions used to save preferences, so it is stored wherever you= r preferences are stored. Without any amount of testing, I would imagine that you should be able to use the version of SquirrelSpell from the 1.5.= 1 release on your stable branch.
