Well, you don't give any details about what the IMAP (SquirrelMail) logins look like, and how those differ from what the username should be when connecting to the suid backend. This can surely be solved, but you need to give some details about your system. Also, FWIW, the last thing you want to do is build a virtual user mail system around local user accounts.
