I am attempting to upgrade from a 1.5.1 CVS from Nov. to 1.5.1 final. However, it seems 1.5.1 final breaks custom login pages. I have testing this using the "bare" html page shown in the Squirrelmail Wiki: http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/EmbeddedSquirrelMailLogin no plugins are enabled, logins *always* fail the first time, the second time, they work. It looks like the Squirrelmail session/cookie is not getting set when the user simply does a post to redirect.php but after seeing the error page the 1st time, the cookie/session is started and the 2nd login works. Mucking around with the source. It looks like the is_logged_in function in auth.php is where the issue lies. Does anyone know what changed that broke this functionality and is it still possible to have a custom (non-PHP) login page still with 1.5.1?
