I mentioned this a while back, and someone kindly supplied me with a hacked up copy of newuser_wiz which did folder subscription. I have removed those routines, fixed them up a little and put them in their own plugin. What this plugin does is automatically scan a users homespace for folders not yet subscribed to, and subscribes to them, every time the folder list is refreshed. We have users that don't 'get' the concept of folder subscription, after years of using Eudora. It's not been tested much, so use at your own risk, and feel free to improve/rewrite/discard it. We don't use public folders on our IMAP server, so I have no idea what it might do when it encounters that kind of thing. Usual caveats, it's my first attempt at PHP and plugins, blah, blah. This probably breaks a dozens of IMAP related RFC's but then again so does Eudora probably, and if your looking for this kind of plugin, you know what I mean. http://www.uic.edu/depts/accc/systems/subscribe_me/ Andrew Herbert Research Programmer Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC) University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) |
