Hi

geoff@medicalescorts.co.uk

Version 1.4.7 stable.

I understand that it now should be possible to specify
an SMTP username and password for those of us who are
using a single SMTP server that requires the same login
for all users.

I understood that this could be specified with the
variables:

$smtp_sitewide_user = 'username';
$smtp_sitewide_pass = 'password';

In the config_local.php file.

I have done this and still get an authorization error
on the SMTP server - (login type - login).

I have had a nose around Deliver_SMTP.class.php and
find the following comment:

// TODO merge 1.5.1 changes regarding system wide
pop username

I suspect that the comment should have referred to the
system wide SMTP username (although forgive me if Im
wrong here and there is something else in 1.5.1 that Im
not aware of).

I was wondering if this had been done - or if this was
an error.

Regards

Geoff Tothill.
