Is there something which I can check to make the SQuirrel client working?

Any advice/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thank you,

I have tried executing the .bat file from command prompt and I do not get any message back. I have also tried by explicitly giving javaw at the start, but its still doesn't do anything.
I tried to look in the system, if it creates any error file, but I couldn't find any.
To me it seems that it is the java environment variable which is not set.
Can you help me if I have the java environment variable set and if its not there, how to set it up?

I have recently installed SQuirrel SQL client on my windows laptop. I have
Windows 7 Enterprise OS, 64 bit machine.
The install has been successful, but when i click squirrel-sql.bat from the
install directory or Program group, it just opens a black window for a
flash of a millisecond and closes.

What can I do to make the SQuirrel SQL client for windows open ?

Run the .bat file from a command prompt window and take a look into any error messages that it displays.
