Hello,

The SQuirreL installer doesn't ship JDBC drivers.  You should download the mysql connector jdbc driver and copy it into the SQUIRREL_INSTALL_DIR/lib folder, then restart SQuirreL.

In case your wondering about the optional mysql plugin, it extends SQuirreL to enhance it's capabilities when working with a mysql database.

Dear all,

I am new to SQuirrelSQL and seem to have a problem loading the drivers. In the lists of drivers none of the drivers are loading. As the manual hints this may be due to the fact that the files necessary to load the driver are in a different path than expected by SQuirrel. However, I installed everything according to the 'default' settings. Also, all the paths and files mentioned in the change-driver-window just below "Java Class Path" are on my computer and in the right place. I tried removing and re-installing SQuirrel, but that gave me the same results. I would be particularly interested in the mysql driver. I am using SQuirrelSQL 3.2.1 on a macbook pro, mac os x 10.6.6.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Richard
