Thanks, John. On the squirrel website, it suggests using "JDBC ODBC Bridge" and that's what I'm using. I also tried setting up an alias for system DNS, but it didn't work either. It didn't say I'm missing any driver and I couldn't find any resource giving a straightforward example to set up the access database. I think my case should be simple, I have a abc.accdb on c:\. What should I put in the URL? It didn't work if using jdbc:odbc:c\abc.accdb.

No specific advice; I suggest you google for "JDBC jet database". That should give you some leads as to where to get and and how to install and configure JDBC drivers for the MSFT Jet database engine (what Access uses). Then you should just be able to install those drivers into Squirrel and use them to connect to an Access database.
