I think newlines in VARCHAR2 should be shown as "\n" and not "/n".

    Sure - I meant to add a comment when I closed it - the new SF interface for trackers has two different buttons for updating tickets now :)

    This is configurable. You can configure SQuirreL to represent EOL chars in VARCHARs (and CLOBs for that matter) as either "/n" or "\n". Go into preferences and choose the following option:

    Global Preferences -> Data Type Controls -> CHAR, VARCHAR, LONGVARCHAR -> "Show newlines as \n within cells"
