as you can see in the attached screenshot, the option to add the quotation marks to a parameter for an sql command is enabled for a non numerical parameter and I can't disable it.
This happens every time a parameter start with a letter or a symbol. If the parameter is numerical, the option is disabled, and, moreover, I can choose to enable or disable it.
The problem is that with a date parameter, as the one in the screenshot, Squirrel interprets this parameter as a string parameter, and force the quotation marks. This is not correct and the sql command will give an error. So, for a date parameter I it's not possible to use the parameter system of Squirrel.
