XMLObject is a package that borrows your ideas from SQLObject (and some
code I think) to provide a XML persistence layer. It works very well
for simple cases, but has issues when dealing with inheritance.
The XML-enabled sublcasses are created just like SQLObject subclasses.
Then there are 'toXml' and 'fromXml' methods that do what is expected.
