My data dumping tool needs to write out a few million records to a sybase database. Unfortunately the Sybase DB is the other side of a major ocean in a completely different continent.
Assuming that I cannot correct these geographical problems, what can I do to speed up my inserts? SQLObject does not seem to have a concept of a "Lazy Insert", but is there such a thing as a "Bulk Insert". I figure that there is a high latency on any SQL operation, so the more I can get done in a single operation the better.
