It look like set() method from SQLObject is missing the
connection parameter in svn version.

Possible fix attached.

    .set() is called upon an object that has already been drawn
    from the DB, and it already has _connection. Why do you need
    to change the connection?

    Second. You have only updated one branch in the .set() - "if
    self.sqlmeta._creating or self.sqlmeta.lazyUpdate:". What
    about the other branch? (When you answer the question you'd
    understand the first question!)
