Spyce 2.1 is feature complete and the docs are mostly done. Please test
it out in the next couple days and I'll get a release out soon.
Here's what you need to do:
$ svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/spyce/trunk/spyce spyce2.1
$ cd spyce2.1
$ python spyceCmd.py -l
browse to localhost:8000/ to generate a local copy of the 2.1 docs, then
CHANGES has a thorough list of what's new, but the big ones you can get
a good sense of in the new examples. The following are new (and the
associated doc pages are new/updated):
Also, check out the DB module docs, which will be at
http://localhost:8000/docs/doc-mod_db.html -- no extracted examples yet.
(But the new pyweboff demo uses it:
python spyceCmd.py -l --conf contrib/pyweboff/config.py)
The only backwards-incompatible change that most people will notice is
that the session module is very different now (and much easier to use).
The old one is still around as session1; CHANGES gives a perl script to
switch your spy .import statements if you want to keep using the old
Additionally, the minimum Python version is now 2.3.
