Hi All I written some stuff using Spyce and Numpy. I was thinking of including the rpy (interface to GNU R) to give them some access to least squares (regression) functionality. The customer is intrested in the regression diagnostics rather than the really tahe actual curve fitting part hence the attractiveness of R. They are economists/fin analysts I ran some simple tests using with r.summary and simple lists and things went ok. Then i looked at the actual rpy.py file and became a bit woried since i am seeing threading and event loops etc. The question was raised if its was safe to use RPY with spyce on apache2 with modpython I have no special requirement to use R, i am just looking for the easiest way to provide the regression analysis that the customers want Thanks for any assistance provided Chris |
